Transportation Services (308)761-8747

Public Transportation services for Sheridan County are provided by Panhandle Transit Services (PTS). PTS is a division of Senior Services, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides accessible transportation options to the general public of all ages. These services are available throughout Sheridan County.

Demand Response Services - are provided on a first come, first serve basis, contingent upon availability. Passengers are transported from their point of origin to their desired destination. These services are provided to assist individuals with transportation needs within their local community. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 2 :00 p.m.

Intercity Bus Services -  are available to meet the transportation needs of passengers traveling between communities. These services operate on regularly scheduled bus routes between Nebraska Panhandle communities. Set departure and return times have been established for all Sheridan County communities. Route schedules are developed to provide access to additional intercity bus and air services, with future expansion to include routes between the Nebraska Panhandle region and Rapid City, SD.

Reservations (308)761-8747 - To better assist our customers, passengers are encouraged to call at least 3 or more days in advance of desired travel and can be made up to 30 days in advance. Advanced paid reservations are required for all services, with payment required at the time of booking. Electronic payment options (debit or credit cards) may be made over the phone. Deadlines for reservations is noon the business day before desired travel. All transactions are non-refundable (exceptions: closures due to weather). All transportation services are contingent upon availability. Please plan accordingly.
