The mission of the University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension Service is to help Nebraskans apply timely, research-based knowledge to their daily lives.
The 4-H program, a hands-on learning program, delivered in part though our office, impacts over 140,000 Nebraska youth each year.
In Cooperative Extension:
Our motto "Know How. Know Now." describes our mission to help Nebraskans enhance their lives through research-based information.
We do this by providing educational programming.
We address and focus on selected priority needs and issues.
We use a partnership of federal, state, local and private resources, i.e., technologies, information, money and people.
We offer all those audiences opportunities to understand and adapt to technical, economic and social change.
We develop programs available to a diverse statewide clientele-agricultural enterprises, families, youths, businesses and communities - as well as national and international audiences.
For information about the services offered, visit the UNL Extension in Sheridan County website.
