Sheridan County now requires a Permit to Construct Utilities on the County Right-of-Way. Applications for the Permit are available at the Road Department, 111 North Main Street in Rushville. The cost of the Permit is $50 for boring, $100 for plowing and $150 for open trench.
Work has begun on the update of the Region-23 Emergency Management Hazard Mitigation Plan. Sheridan County is a participant in that project. Interested persons can access the Plan at the project website: https://www.jeo.com/region23-hmp
Assessor Office Clerk Opening
The Sheridan County Assessor’s Office is accepting applications for
a full-time office clerk. You must hold a valid NE driver’s license.
Computer knowledge and experience in real estate is preferable but
not a requirement. If you are friendly, dependable, and work well
with the public, please stop by and request an application. Or
