Dan Kling of rural Gordon has been appointed to fill the District One seat on the Sheridan County Board of Commissioners. Kling will complete the unexpired term of Commissioner Loren Paul who died in January.
As directed by law, the County Attorney, Aaron Conn; Clerk, Sindy Coburn; and Treasurer Renee Thies received and reviewed applications and, on February 16, made the appointment.
Kling is no stranger to county government having served several FOUR terms as a commissioner before taking an early retirement in 2016. He brings to the position a wealth of experience with budgets, roads, and property taxes.
District One is comprised of Gordon and roughly 10 miles of rural Sheridan County to the south, east and north of the city.
