It is the duty of landowners in this County to mow all weeds that can be mowed with the ordinary farm mower to the middle of all public roads and drainage ditches running along their lands at least twice each year, namely, sometime in July for the first time and sometime in September for the second time. There will be no amnesty this fall.
Sheridan County now requires a Permit to Construct Utilities on the County Right-of-Way. Applications for the Permit are available at the Road Department, 111 North Main Street in Rushville. The cost of the Permit is $50 for boring, $100 for plowing and $150 for open trench.

The Sheridan County Assessor’s Office is accepting applications for
a full-time office clerk. You must hold a valid NE driver’s license.
Computer knowledge and experience in real estate is preferable but
not a requirement. If you are friendly, dependable, and work well
